'71 Jaguar XJ6 Series One by DominikScherrer
'71 Jaguar XJ6 Series One
This was a commissioned drawing. Done with markers, colored pencils, pastels and white gel pen on A4 bristol paper. I pretty like the result just the shadow in front of the car in my opinion is a bit too solid and dark. But it was kind of soemthing new to set the main lightsource behind the car. It was about 16 hours of work I think.

I've just finished this drawing and I'm glad that it's done because it took me way longer than I expected. I guess alltogether it was about 18 hours of work.
Done on A4 bristol smooth paper mainly with markers but also with pastels, coloured pencils and white gel pen.
I pretty like the result, don't hesitate to comment if you also like it (or of course also if you find something that I could have done better).
'30 Ford Five Window Rat Rod by DominikScherrer
'30 Ford Five Window Rat Rod
I guess this drawing took nearly about 20 hours to finish. I really spent a lot of time for drawing the details.
The hard part of the drawing was the rusty areas because I've never really drawn rusty parts so far.
Done on A4 bristol paper using mainly markers and just a bit of black pastel and white gel pen.
I cut the rod out and sticked it on a background that I made of an old spanish magazine.
I really like the result, I hope you all like it too.
I used a reference photo shot by Rorey Lepidi ( ), he's a great photographer.
Original:    Green Rat Rod
Thanks to Rorey for giving me the permission for use his photo!
1939 BMW 326 by DominikScherrer
1939 BMW 326
I just finished this drawing yesterday and just had to post it now.
It is a commissioned piece done on a4 bristol smooth pad. Tools used: Warm grey markers, white coloured pencil, white gel pen and just a little bit of black gouache for the windows. It took about 14 hours to finish and I'm really satisfied with the outcome.
Sadly the warm shades of grey markers where empy so they nearly drove me crazy but it still worked somehow.
Big Smoke by DominikScherrer
Big Smoke
The car is a '64 chevy malibu ss i guess.
This was another experimental piece. I painted the background with watercolors and the colored the car using markers.
I'm not 100 percent satisfied with the background and details/smothness of the car but I guess it looks pretty nice.
It's about 36cm x 18cm on watercolorpaper. The quality is not the best because I had to take a photo.
The photo was shot by Haubakk
I've got my first Magazine Feature in issue 3/13 of Truckin' Magazine.
That's just awesome...

Thanks for the :+devwatch: :)
You have a great gallery...I particularly like the rat rod piece.
I've been meaning to draw one for ages so I need to find a good reference photo and get on it.
